Thread #2: What was your tipping point?
What helped you finally get sober and stay that way? Or: What helps you keep trying to get sober when there hasn't been a "click" moment?

A few weeks ago one of you suggested this as a topic for a thread: What makes sobriety stick? I really want to crowd source this because this is typically the question I get the most from folks. Everyone who is drinking and wants to stop and feels like they can’t is hungry to know how that happens for people; what it takes, what “the one thing” is, etc.
Years ago, when I was running Hip Sobriety School (RIP) I asked one of the alumni groups, “for those of you who were able to quit drinking, what was the thing that made it stick?” Inevitably, the answers were all different: not a single person’s tipping point looked like another persons and often enough, it wasn’t just one thing, it was an accumulation.
